Our Story

The Beginning

Cosmos Burger was founded with a vision to bring gourmet burger dining to North County San Diego. Frustrated with the limited options between basic fast food and expensive fine dining, our founders saw an opportunity to create something different: a restaurant that offers premium, chef-crafted burgers in a casual, accessible environment.

The concept was straightforward: take the best elements of gourmet cooking—fresh ingredients, creative flavor combinations, attention to detail—and apply them to America’s favorite food, the burger.

Growth & Expansion

What started as a single location has grown into two thriving North County restaurants:

Oceanside location (401 Mission Ave)
Our flagship location in downtown Oceanside became an instant hit with locals and visitors alike. Just blocks from the beach and pier, this location captures the essence of Oceanside’s vibrant community with a modern atmosphere and neighborhood feel.

Carlsbad location (2725 State St)
Following the success in Oceanside, we expanded to Carlsbad to serve more of North County. This location brings the same gourmet burger experience and craft beer selection to the Carlsbad community.

The Truffle Burger is consistently our best-seller. The combination of truffle aioli, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and arugula creates a perfectly balanced gourmet experience. However, the BBQ Bacon Burger and Mushroom Swiss are also extremely popular!

Do you plan to open more locations?

We’re focused on maintaining excellence at our two current locations in Oceanside and Carlsbad. While we’re always open to opportunities to serve more of North County, our priority is quality over rapid expansion. Any future growth will be carefully planned to maintain our standards.
